Ólafur Arnalds,

is coming to Brussels tomorrow. I think I really should go see him as I’m listening to his melodies right now. And they are so immense. It fits so right in this Tuesday evening when rain shatters on the windows and the wind is howling. Mid-May and we are back to February. Depression is unavoidable, but I’m excited. I have my count down going on. 15 days left until the big adventure starts…

We have not really started with the organisation of departure. So far it is planning the trips that come before the big move. Like Kenya/Tanzania. On Sunday Pélé Mélé, a favourite second book store, held their 75 year anniversary. It was open on Sunday (!) and there was a small jazz session and free drinks. Such a lovely atmosphere, not crowded at all. We found a few big travel books and looked through them, dreaming away of the our own trip, knowing it will come and go by too soon.

This is the calm before the big storm. The silence before the big crescendo. And I will enjoy it together with Ólafur.
